This is taken from a book I
am reading; Awaken the Healer Within. It is called the Retrospective Exercise and is done just before you go off to sleep. the effect will improve your memory and develop a retrospection that will be a benefit to you for the rest of your life.
When you lie down to go to sleep, think one significant event that happened in your day, it could be a conversation, something you did that lead to a good outcome or a not so good outcome or something someone else did. Do not get hung on in the thought, just recall it and let it pass by.
Now recall the significant event that happened prior to that one, and then prior to the second one, and so on. All the way back to when you first wore up that morning.
What you will find occurs from these exercises will added enlightenment to your future events; especially the not-so-good ones possibly changing the whole essence of the experience.
